The Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park and Fat Fred's Famous Bar-B-Q of Crystal River will be holding a fund raising Barbecue Dinner Saturday, September 5, 1998 from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on the green adjacent to the Park's Visitor Center on U.S. 19. Proceeds from the Barbeque Dinner will benefit the Friends fund raising effort for a new Cougar exhibit in the wildlife park. This will be great family outing during the Labor Day weekend. Tickets will be available in advance at the Homosassa Area Chamber of Commerce or from any of the Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park's Board members. Tickets will also be available on the day of the event. Fat Fred's Famous Bar-B-Q has won hundreds of prestigious awards at Rib Fests in Georgia and Florida since it was started in St. Petersburg in 1992. Barbecue Plates will be available for $5.00 including Barbecue Pork, Cole Slaw and Baked Beans, Barbecue Sandwiches will also be available at $4.00. Beverages will be sold separately for 50 cents.
